What’s up everyone-
Spent most of the week in Washington D.C. at a conference that I was asked to come speak at. I met a lot of very interesting people, as well as some very influential business people in the credit union industry. These are very exciting times, and I am expecting to see significant increases in our publication’s circulation by the next issue in May.
While in D.C. we stayed at a hotel across from the Hilton Washington, where the conference was held. The Hilton Washington is the same hotel where President Regan was shot many years ago. I’ve included a picture I took outside the hotel here.
Alan Greenspan was a speaker at the conference, but I opted to go to lunch with the CEO of the Gallup Organization instead. At the Gallup building I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Gallup himself, the man responsible for the Gallup Poll, used widely across the world.
Later that evening I was treated to dinner at a local restaurant in D.C., apparently a city favorite. While feeling somewhat guilty about the $30 steak that I ordered (the cheapest meal was $25), my thoughts on food were quickly erased when Arnold Schwarzenegger sat down two tables away to have dinner with his entourage, and yes, he is just as huge as he is in the movies and on TV.
