I recently returned from my first trip to Las Vegas after turning 21. Let me tell you, it is quite the place. While I average 2-3 hours of sleep per night for the duration of my stay it was well worth it.
I faired decently at the Texas Hold ‘Em tables, however it was the Black Jack tables that weren’t favoring me. All of that was fine though, when we went with a group of people out to the Palms. One individual in the group put up around $800 so that we could have a VIP table at the Ghostbar on top of the Palms. The Ghostbar was frequently seen on the Real World: Las Vegas season, because the Real World suite is located within the Palms, bowling alley and all.
The Ghostbar is located on one of the top floors of the hotel, located part indoors, part outdoors. When you walk out onto the balcony, you can look out over the Las Vegas strip. It is quite the view.
Below are a couple pictures from the trip. The first is a picture from the strip, and the second is of me and Tom Loika, one of our Account Managers, at the tradeshow display for the conference. To see a picture of us in less formal attire, check out the last blog to see me and Tom in our Halloween décor.

Upon the conclusion of the conference, we went to a Vegas buffet, and Tom inevitably got food poisoning and spent the duration of the flight sick, with screaming kids on the flight. As his first independent travel and tradeshow experience, he could now finally relate to my wonderful life of airplane hopping.
The day after returning, my buddies and I took to the field for flag football playoffs. After a close overtime win by 1 point, we advanced to the semifinals. Unfortunately, we were knocked out at the semifinals, but had a good run with the season ending 7-1.
Until next week, when I head oot and aboot to Toronto for our next cover shoot, have a good one, aye?
