As things continue to quickly expand at brass, so do our needs for office space. Having filled up every room in our current office, including the break room (sorry Kelly), we are now punching a hole through the wall in my office, to a set of adjoining offices next door.

On my wall there is a spot that has been patched over, which appears to be where a door used to be. We decide that will be where we punch a hole through. As the construction guys are knocking down the wall, they come across an interesting find.

It turns out that our assumptions about the former door were indeed, correct. Behind the wall, there was in fact a door which had been sealed up with a wall built over it, which begs the question, do you know what’s hidden within your walls?

After a hiatus from the blog, I’m back in action. Things have been absolutely insane at brass. Between our November issue in 2005 and the upcoming February issue, our circulation increased from 150,000 to over 200,000 people receiving brass. We now have over 100 credit union distributing brass through 33 states.

During that time I also got moved into my new house which finished construction in December. While we just have shower curtains hanging up as blinds and aren’t exactly the best furnished, it’s still a nice feeling getting moved into your first house.

More recently, this weekend I headed down to Salt Lake City for a private equity conference. During this time of year Salt Lake is a beautiful place, and I swear it’s the cleanest city I’ve ever been to. Then I headed up to Sundance Film Festival. Had I been smarter I would have applied for a press pass, but instead spent the majority of the night waiting in lines in sub freezing temperatures. Next year I’m heading down for the whole week with a press pass and am going to hit the slopes. Check out the Sundance website at http://festival.sundance.org/2006/.

Until next time.
