It’s been about a month since I posted last. March and April are probably the two busiest months out of the year for travel. Since my last post I hopped over to New York City, got put up in the Hilton Times Square which was awesome, headed out to Sacramento, CA, got home for a week and then headed down to Galveston, TX, so things have been crazy!
New York is always awesome, although me and my buddy Jared pretty much spent the whole time working on a script for a movie we’re going to get produced in the next few years. I can’t reveal anything about it right now because it is based on a true story which is still unfolding, but let me tell you, this thing has Oscar written all over it.
Before leaving New York, I also made my way to the New York Supreme Court, which I’ve included a photo of. In the Supreme Court building I headed down to the basement in the records room, where there were old filings everywhere, broken copy machines, no one had quarters. It was pretty crazy, like a scene out of Erin Brockovich or All the Presidents Men, when they?re digging through old records in the basement.
I was only in California briefly, then headed down to Texas where I spoke as the Opening General Session speaker for the Texas Credit Union League’s Annual Conference. I tell you what, Texas is a whole different place than Oregon, but everyone in Texas was great and I really appreciated being able to be down there.
On another interesting side story, we showed up to the wrong hotel in Texas which apparently was a block down from the hotel we needed to be at. The hotel said they could give us a ride, and out in front was a bright and shiny Bentley. Sure enough, they gave us a ride for one block to the next hotel, but for 30 seconds and 200 feet of my life I got to ride in a Bentley for the first time.
And as my final inclusion for this entry, if you need a laugh in the middle of your day (which all of us do) here?s a video clip of babies who know how to laugh, and surely you will too.
